nvestigators are seeking information about two break-ins early Tuesday morning at a tobacco shop and a convenience store in Franklin County.
The first break-in occurred about 4 a.m. at the Hubbly Bubbly tobacco store on U.S. 220 North, according to Investigator Rick Toney with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies responded to an alarm at the store, they found a large rock that had been thrown through the front door glass, Toney said.
An undisclosed amount of cash and a smoking device were stolen, he added.
The suspects appear to be two males, who were dressed in hooded sweatshirts, Toney said.
The second break-in, which investigators believe may be related to the first, occurred about 5:45 a.m. at Raven's Country Store on South Main Street, he said.
The method of entry was the same, Toney said. A rock had been thrown through the front door glass.
A cash register containing an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen, Toney said.
Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to contact Toney at 483-3000 or the anonymous crimeline at 483-6620. |
