Just about every Thursday morning on his day off, Mark Fitzgerald of Rocky Mount and "Kassem," his yellow Labrador retriever, go for a walk along Franklin Street in Rocky Mount. Most days, they stop to take a break on a bench to watch the traffic and the people go by.
The 5-year-old male likes to watch the vehicles pass and also enjoys the company of people who are out walking for exercise, Fitzgerald said. And the dog's Arabic name is a perfect fit. "My daughter picked out the name, which means well behaved or well mannered." |
