Construction in Franklin County slowed in June, based on the number of building permits issued, compared to the same month in 2011.
A report by the county building inspections department shows that 89 building permits were issued last month, down from the 99 permits that were issued in June 2011.
The value of all building permits issued in June totaled $4,532,937, down from the total value of permits issued in June 2011, which was $5,953,142.
Eleven building permits were issued last month for new residential homes.
Manufactured home permits (single and doublewide homes) totaled 13 in June, and building permits issued for additions, alterations and accessory buildings totaled 22.
The total value of all permits issued during the fiscal year to date (July 2011 to June 31, 2012) was $53,499,883. The total value of all permits issued during the previous fiscal year totaled $64,127,406.
Five hundred eighty inspections were conducted in June, and fees collected from permits totaled $26,417.
Inspectors drove 5,833 miles last month to conduct inspections. |
