The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is looking for a Rocky Mount woman who allegedly stabbed a Roanoke man in the buttocks early Sunday morning.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Brandy Lynn Epperly, 24, on one count of malicious wounding, according to Lt. Mark Sweeney.
Deputy Justin Hilton responded to a domestic call about 3:44 a.m. Sunday at a residence on Calico Rock Road, Sweeney said. Upon entering the house, the deputy found a 24-year-old man in the kitchen bleeding from a puncture wound in the right side of his buttocks.
The victim told the deputy he was lying in bed when his girlfriend, Epperly, allegedly attacked him and stabbed him with a knife, Sweeney said.
The suspect fled the scene before the deputy arrived, Sweeney said. The knife was not located at the scene.
The victim was transported to Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital for treatment, Sweeney said.
Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Epperly is asked to call the sheriff's office at 483-3000 or the anonymous crimeline at 483-6620. |
