The Summer Food Service Program, an affiliate of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is now providing free meals to children ages 1-18 in Franklin County. Acceptance and participation requirements for the program can be obtained by calling 540 238-9533.
Here are the dates, times and sites where the meals will be provided Monday through Friday each week, unless otherwise specified:
•Henry Fork Service Center, 71 Sandridge Road, Rocky Mount, July 11 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Lunch is from 12 to 1:15 p.m.
•Mountain View Apartments, 195 Windy Lane, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m.
•Rocky Mount Elementary School, 555 School Board, Rocky Mount, June 20 to July 31. Breakfast is from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m.
•McHemier Day Care, 444 Rakes Road, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. Lunch is from 11:30 a.m to noon.
•Evelyn's Mission, 175 Pendleton Street, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m.
•Anne's Day Care, 2608 Rock Ridge Road, Callaway, June 11 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 8 to 9 a.m.
•Good Neighbor's Summer Day Camp, 80 Burnt Chimney Road, Wirtz, June 11 to July 6. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Lunch is from 11 a.m. to noon.
•Snow Creek Community, 345 Emmas Road, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m.
•Robin Hood Day Care, 120 Robin Hood Lane, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
•Bright Stars Day Care, 800 North Main Street, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Lunch is from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
•Tabernacle of Praise, 1773 North Main Street, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 7 Dinner is from 7 to 8 p.m. every Tuesday.
•Bethel Church, 385 Diamond Avenue, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m.
•Lisa's Day Care, 4765 Old Forge Road, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Lunch is from 12 to 12:30 p.m.
•Tiny Tots, 1696 Franklin Street, Rocky Mount, June 11 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9 a.m. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m.
•Henry Elementary, 200 Henry School, Henry, June 18 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. Lunch is from 12 to 12:30 p.m.
•Benjamin Franklin Middle School, 225 Middle School Road, Rocky Mount, July 30 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m. for those students enrolled in football program.
•Franklin County High School, 700 Tanyard Road, Rocky Mount, July 30 to Aug. 10. Breakfast is from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Lunch is from 12 to 1 p.m. for those students enrolled in football program. |
