"I want my life to make a difference like hers did," said Lisa Floyd, who along with her husband, Dale, painted a wall mural in the children's department of the Franklin County Public Library.
The mural depicts scenes of "Miss Joyce" Tukloff, who served as the children's librarian for 31 years before she died unexpectedly last fall.
The mural was dedicated in her memory during a reception last week at the library.
"What a great tribute to her (Tukloff)," said Franklin County Administrator Rick Huff.
Bill Mitchell, chairman of the library board of trustees, and Pamela Palmer, children and young adult librarian at the Westlake Library, assisted with the painting.
"We cannot underestimate her (Tukloff's) impact," said David Bass, director of the Franklin County Public Library. |
