A Patrick County man has been charged in connection with the theft of six heat pumps from a Rocky Mount church last September.
William Wade Henderson III, 37, of Patrick Springs is charged with grand larceny in the theft of six Lennox heat pumps from Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church on Ruritan Road on Sept. 16, 2011.
The heat pumps are valued at $9,000, according to Lt. Todd Maxey with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Working with investigators from Patrick, Henry and Pittsylvania counties, where similar thefts have occurred, the sheriff's office obtained evidence allegedly linking Henderson to the church thefts, said Investigator Gary Shively.
Henderson was arrested in Patrick County on March 7 on unrelated charges, Shively said. His trial on the grand larceny charge is set for May 11 in Franklin County Circuit Court. |
