Angela Dawn Craighead and Randall Scott Fitzwater were united in marriage on May 22, 2010, at the bride's church, Nineveh Church of the Brethren, in Hardy. Pastor Melvin Williams officiated the ceremony and a dinner reception followed at Westlake Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of David and Nancy Craighead of Hardy. She is the granddaughter of Carmen Craighead and the late Sherman Craighead of Callaway, and George Greer and the late Frances Greer of Hardy.
The bride is a graduate of Franklin County High School and of Bridgewater College. She received a Master of Science in Education Administration from Shenandoah University. She is the Intellectual Disabilities Specialist for Cabarrus County Schools in Concord, N.C.
The groom is the son of Ken and Charlotte Fitzwater of Pinch, W.Va. He is the grandson of Margie Fitzwater and the late Kenneth Fitzwater Sr., of St. Albans, W. Va., and Rev. Hubert and Leola Woods of Quick, W.Va.
The groom is a graduate of Capital High School and Virginia Tech. He received a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Tech. He is a mechanical engineer at AREVA in Charlotte, N.C.
The bride was escorted by her father and presented in marriage by her parents. he maid of honor was Lorna Frizzelle, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lauren Davis, sister-in-law; Tiffany Williford, friend of the bride; and Kayla Fitzwater, sister of the groom. The flower girls were Lexi Kennedy, cousin of the groom, and Lillian Davis-Craighead, niece of the bride.
Kenny Fitzwater, brother of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen were Brent Foster, Chase Prettyman, and Steve Cash, friends of the groom. The ring bearer was Ean Amerson, cousin of the bride. Ushers for the ceremony were Brandon Craighead, brother of the bride, Leland McCray and Eric Danner, friends of the groom.
The couple honeymooned in Jamaica and will reside in Charlotte, N.C.
