As part of the Christmas season, the first-grade students at Ferrum Elementary School enjoyed a ride on the Polar Express.
They wore their pajamas for the Polar Express journey.
Sharon Jones, a teacher at Ferrum Elementary School. read the "Polar Express" story to he first-graders before they boarded the magical train in their pajamas for the trip to the North Pole.
Each student received a magic ticket that enabled them to travel to each station on the journey to the North Pole. They stopped in the stations and created a candy train ornament, a train Christmas card and a Polar Express word search.
The Polar Express Day at Ferrum Elementary was based on the movie, the "Polar Express."
