Sgt. Riley Hodges with the Franklin County Sheriff's Department and his K-9 partner Alix recently received a merit award from the Virginia Police Work Dog Association for their role in the capture of two Axton men, who were attempting to break into Riverside Minute Market on Nov. 26, 2008.
