Franklin County netted three goals in the first half and tallied four more after intermission for a 7-0 Western Valley District girls' soccer shutout of GW Danville at C.I. (Cy) Dillon Stadium-Fred M. Brown Memorial Field.

In defeating Danville for the second time this season, FCHS (4-1 in the WVD, 7-3 overall) outshot GW, 19-4, and six of its seven goals were produced by an assist.

Margaret Parcell, Tayler Wiseman and Megan Wunderlich each scored a goal in the first half.

Parcell netted her second goal of the match to open FCHS's second-half scoring,

then Victoria Bruce finished the match with a hat trick -- three goals scored.

Parcell assisted on each of Bruce's goals.

Tori Young, Taylor Weidman and Bruce also assisted on Eagles' scores.

Netminder Crissy Moran (2) and Kelsey Hodges (3) shared the shutout and combined for five saves.

FCHS returns to action today against WVD rival Patrick Henry. Match time is 7:15 p.m. at Patriots Stadium-Merrill Gainer Field.
