Sixteen teachers have been nominated by their schools for Franklin County's Teacher of the Year for 2010.
The Teacher of the Year will be chosen from among the nominees.
The winner will be announced at the county's annual banquet on Thursday, May 7 at Benjamin Franklin Middle School.
The teachers of the year for each school were chosen by their peers.
The teachers of the year for each school are:
"Boones Mill, Carrie Schweitzer.
"Burnt Chimney, Robin Shively.
"Callaway, Kim Jones.
"Dudley, Lisa Thornton.
"Ferrum, Bradley Lang.
"Glade Hill, Kim Chitwood.
"Henry, Sally Moore.
"Lee M. Waid, Lisa Norvell.
"Rocky Mount, Mary Enslow.
"Snow Creek, Matthew Mills.
"Sontag, Melinda Berger.
"Benjamin Franklin-East, Melanie Pittman.
"Benjamin Franklin-West, Alison Everett.
"Gereau Center, Randy Conklin.
"Franklin County High School, Amy Chattin.
"Franklin County High School, Mark Hatcher.
David Campbell, a journalism teacher at the Gereau Center, was Franklin County Teacher of the Year for 2009.
Ann Love, an English teacher at Benjamin Franklin Middle School-West, was Franklin County Teacher of the Year for 2008. |
